Why people come

Most people who come to Our Space are at a turning point. Something has shifted, or shattered, or you've caught yourself in a pattern you've repeated enough times to finally take seriously. A relationship ending. News that changed everything. A habit you know you need to face before you can move forward. The particular exhaustion of carrying something alone for too long.

You don't have to have it figured out before your first session. You just have to be ready for something to be different. That's enough to start.

We work with individuals navigating the aftermath of painful experiences, the weight of old patterns showing up in new relationships, and the quiet sense that the life you're living doesn't quite match the one you want. Whatever brought you here, the work begins with understanding how you got here, and who you want to become on the other side of it.

How you might start

Three steps. Thirty minutes the first one.

01.

Free 30-min consult

Tell us what's on your mind. We listen for what you actually need before we recommend anything. No script, no performance.

02.

Choose your clinician

Based on what you've shared, we suggest a fit. You decide who feels right. The clinician you book is the clinician you meet.

03.

First session within the week

Most clients book their first session within the same week of the consult.

What the first session is like

No big agenda. Just a start.

The first session doesn't have a big agenda. We're not rushing toward anything. We're getting to know you: your relationships, your work, your values, what you care about, what you've lost, what you're still reaching for. We'll talk about your goals too, not in a clinical way, but because understanding where you want to go is part of understanding who you are. Sometimes the session is calm. Sometimes it's heavy. Either way, our job is to stay grounded and present, to be the steady thing in the room while you work through the unsteady stuff.

Over time, what builds is trust. And from trust, something deeper: the experience of being genuinely heard, maybe for the first time. We don't hand you answers. We ask the questions that help you find your own. We reflect back what we're seeing in a way that opens something up rather than closes it down. We show you your own resilience, because it's already there. Our job is just to help you see it.

Our approaches

Tools we reach for, not tracks we put you on.

These aren't rigid lanes. Good therapy borrows from all of them depending on what the moment calls for, so your clinician draws on whichever ones fit you, not the other way around.

  • CBT

Notice the thoughts that drive how you feel, then test whether they hold up.

  • DBT

Concrete skills for riding out big emotions without being run by them.

  • Psychodynamic

Trace where a pattern started so it stops quietly steering the present.

  • ACT

Make room for hard feelings and keep moving toward what matters to you.

  • Internal Family Systems

Meet the different parts of you with curiosity instead of a fight.

  • Trauma-informed

Go at a pace your nervous system can hold, never faster than feels safe.

  • Somatic experiencing

Work with what the body is holding, not just the words for it.

  • Mindfulness-based

Build the small daily habit of meeting your own experience as it is.

  • Person-centered

You set the direction; the clinician follows your lead, not a manual.

  • Narrative

Separate yourself from the problem and author a different next chapter.

  • Motivational interviewing

Find your own reasons for a change rather than being talked into one.

  • Culturally sensitive

Your background, language, and values stay in the room the whole way.

What it costs

Sessions are 50 minutes, $100 to $185.

Weekly is what we recommend; biweekly works too. We hold a number of sliding-scale spots, so if the standard rate isn't workable, bring it up during your consult. No forms, no proof of income, just an honest conversation about what you can manage long term.
