À propos de Shehroz

Les mots de Shehroz.

If you're here, something has shifted. Maybe you've been carrying it alone for a long time. Maybe something happened recently that cracked things open. Either way, you don't have to have it figured out before we talk. Showing up is enough.

I founded Our Space Clinic because I've seen what therapy can do when it actually goes deep, and I've felt firsthand what it costs when it doesn't. During one of the hardest periods of my own life, I was handed a worksheet. I stopped going to therapy after that and didn't go back for years. That experience stayed with me. It's part of why I built something different.

I work with individuals and couples doing serious relational work. With individuals, that means understanding how your history, your patterns, your wounds are showing up in your relationships today, and what it would take to change that. With couples, it means getting underneath the conflict to what's actually driving it. I've watched couples who had been fighting the same fight for years suddenly understand each other in a way they never had before. That moment, when two people become genuinely curious about each other instead of defended against each other, is what I find most meaningful about this work.

I'm direct when it helps and steady when things get heavy. You won't get a clipboard or a rehearsed response. You'll get a real conversation with someone who is genuinely paying attention.

Un peu de contexte.

What is it like working with you?

Working with me feels like having a real conversation with someone who genuinely cares. I'm direct but compassionate. I'll challenge you when it helps, and I'll sit with you when you need it.

What do you like most about being a therapist?

Witnessing the moment when someone sees something they couldn't see before. Going from stuck to having just enough momentum to take one small step. It doesn't happen overnight and there's no rush. But when it happens, you feel it in the room.

How do you take care of your own mental health?

I take my mornings slow, no matter what. Family time, exercise, coffee and eggs, a walk with a podcast. I get outside as much as I can and I protect time with the people I care about. Nothing revolutionary, but those things are what keep me well.

What would you say to someone nervous about starting therapy?

You don't need to know what you're doing there or what you're looking for. You don't need to have the right words or a clear reason. Just show up. We'll figure out the rest together.

What drew you to this field?

I've always been drawn to deep conversations and real connection. I know what it's like to struggle in silence, and I know what it costs. That's a big part of why I do this. The other part is simpler: there isn't something more rewarding than watching someone's life actually change.
